Cropped Pullover Sweater in Dusky Pinks
Cropped Pullover Sweater in Dusky Pinks
This amazing oversized pullover sweater combines two patterns and three yarns.* I followed the instructions for the largest size in both patterns, so the final garment is a L/XL cropped sweater, meaning that the body width (37") is greater than its length (23"). The neck opening is 22" at the outer edge of ribbing, 27" at the joinder to the sweater body, for a relaxed fit. From collar to sleeve cuff measures 24" and the 2" ribbed cuff on each sleeve is a comfortable 12" in circumference. The wide body of this cropped sweater measures 37" on each side, for a total of 74" circumference measured under the sleeves. The ribbing around the lower edge brings that width in to a flattering 56" circumference at the bottom. I felted the sleeves when I blocked the knitted pieces before assembling, adding even more texture to the profile of this soft, fuzzy pullover. The combination of fibers from across the dusky-pink spectrum and the stitch changes in both body and sleeve resulted in a final product that looks amazing and feels even better, certain to be someone's very favorite pullover sweater.
